Terra russa (red land) is an ongoing project telling the story of my home (the province of Lecce, Italy) through the countryside landscape and farmer workers.
In the last few years, the region of Puglia has been plagued with a bacteria, Xylella Fastidiosa, which has destroyed most of the ancient olive trees, leaving a desert-like landscape and millions of once majestic olive trees lifeless. More to come…
